About Us
May I introduce us? We are Christiane and Stefan Lenz, originally from Germany, married for 40 years, 30 of them dancing. Originally my husband didn’t want to dance, but luckily for me, he lost a bet and now here we are, certified dance instructors!
When we first started dancing in Germany, we had a funny, energetic teacher who kept Stefan both entertained and interested. After we moved to the U.S. in 2000, we found great coaches here, the first of whom even convinced Stefan that we should start competing, which I never thought would be possible.
After several years of successful competition, we decided to join a salsa/bachata performance group, where we had lots of fun and the opportunity to learn new aspects of dancing. In fact, that experience inspired us to take our passion for dance to the next level and become certified dance instructors.
Next, we started a collaboration with the German dance shoe company Diamant®. After having enjoyed the comfort and styling of their shoes for years, we became their representatives in Michigan and provide individualized dance shoe fittings to our students and other dancers.
After being guest instructors in different studios, we now have found our home base with Dance Scene in Center Line. Having said that, we are still visiting and supporting all dance studios and venues ind SE Michigan.
